Africa’s Fab Five

The Dark Continent and its iconic Big Five. The most feared, the most treacherous, and the most extraordinary among a continent filled with wonders. You might ask yourself, “Why?”.  It is only after being in their presence you can begin to fathom the reasons.  It is not only their power, their intelligence, and their beauty, but an unfathomable mystique that surrounds them. Just like some people exude an indefinable, unforgettable aura. When you have heard a Leopard rasping around your tent at night, been charged by a Cape Buffalo Bull, watched a pride of Lions on the hunt, or had your truck surrounded by a herd of Elephants, you body never forgets the surge of fear and wonder they trigger. Having encountered all five on each of my safaris, I can tell you I still feel the same thrill from those memories as though it happened to me today.
